Colonel Imad Al-Amsi, director of anti-drugs unit of the Palestinian police, revealed their intention during the next few days to launch guidance and education campaign; to educate the community to the dangers of drugs.
Colonel Al-Amsi said: "Brochures will be distributed to mosques, police stations and schools in the form of a human being to show the harmful effects of drugs on human organs."
He also confirmed the existence of a vigorous follow-up to drug-dealers in the Gaza Strip through restricting them in the smuggling of narcotic substances.
Moreover, Al-Amsi explained that as a result of this follow-up, the police noticed that the level of seizing the drugs declined.
He pointed out that the statistics showed that the percentage of disappearance of narcotic substance in the Gaza Strip is 95% of "coke and heroin and cultivation of marijuana and hashish."
Al-Amsi considered that the Tramadol pills are the most dangerous drugs, which has spread significantly in the Gaza Strip.
However, Colonel Al-Amsi said: "Thanks to the efforts and follow-up we can finish this file, and we hope terminated by education more than punishment."
He attributed the causes of the spread of Tramadol pills in pharmacies to be used as a drug treatment and cause of his change of treatment to drug use is bad.
