Palestinian products compete with imported products in Gaza Strip

Exhibition of National Products, which set up on the land of the Islamic University of Gaza, witnessed a large turnout, whereas, the visitors expressed their admiration for the different national products, and they called on the competent official authorities to support and promote the Palestinian product and companies to improve their product to gain consumer's confidence instead of imported products.
 

The College of Commerce organized the third exhibition of national products " Palestinian Product " in the Islamic University of Gaza, with support from the Bank of Palestine, and with the participation of the Ministries of National Economy, Agriculture, and the General Union of Palestinian Industries.
 

Many companies and governmental and non-governmental institutions in various sectors; such as agricultural, industrial, and crafts participated in this exhibition.
 

Mohamed Hassanein,21, a student in the Faculty of Engineering, welcomed the idea of setting up a national exhibitions; because it has a positive impact on the Palestinian citizens, especially as there is intense competition facing local products.
 

Hassanein called on the Palestinian government, especially the Ministries of Economy and Agriculture, to exert all their efforts to protect the local products, and allowing them to participate in the Arab and international levels, stressing that the Israeli blockade, although its impact on the economy, pushing the companies to challenge the circumstances and produce the best.
 

Moreover, the student Maryam Abu Aitta, considered the third exhibition is better than its predecessor, in terms of the size of the participating companies and the quality of their products, as well as the numbers of visitors, confirming on the high levels of awareness among the citizens regarding the importance of supporting the local products.
 

Abu Aitta appealed the other universities to organize as these national exhibitions, emphasizing on the important role of official and popular authorities in supporting the national economy , especially in the Gaza Strip; because of the blockade that has held the wheel of development and economic progress in various fields.
