Palestine Festival for Children and Education relieve Gaza children and draw smile on orphans' lips

Children are the real wealth of human societies which hoard to achieve the renaissance and civilization, and we must all work to invest them effectively to achieve progress and prosperity.
 

Gaza Strip, like other regions of the world, is interested in issues of childhood and children and aspires to provide all available services to children in general, and orphans in particular. Whereas, the presence of the Israeli occupation has a significant impact in undermining the emotional stability of children, and when we talking about mental stability for the child, we must strongly pointed to the effects of the recent Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and the grim legacy of the hallmarks on the psyche of children, who deprived of their loved ones and the people closest to them, which increasing the number of orphaned children in the Palestinian society.
 

Despite all difficulties and crises experienced by the Gaza Strip, University College of Applied Sciences launched on Sunday 15/04/2012, "Palestine Festival  for Children and Education" at its headquarters in Gaza City and its branch in Khan Younis, coinciding with the Palestinian Child Day.
 

The festival included, which lasted for five days and carried the slogan "Smile not lose", art performances and reviews for many schools and kindergartens, with the participation and the presence of dozens of children and parents, in addition to exhibition for achievements of some institutions that concerned with children.
 

For his part, the supervisor of the art parts Mohammed Al-Masri said: "The launch of this festival by the collage annually is aimed to put a smile on the Palestinian children, and try to compensate for the most basic rights denied them because of the war and siege."
 

He said that the college has sought to add a lot for the Palestinian society in all fields especially in the humanitarian and social field, it has also paid attention to the implementation of many of services to promote and raise children and provide a decent life for them.
 

Moreover, the supervisor of the exhibition Sana's Kak said that the college makes this festival "each year," to take care with the Palestinian children, who represent the present and the future of Palestine.

She explained that the children of Palestine are not like any children, but they are adult by their actions and their challenge to the difficult circumstances due to the continued Israeli occupation, aggression and siege in the Gaza Strip for many years.
 

The child Omar Mohammed,7, said: "I came to Palestine festival to play, entertain and buy teaching aids for my teacher to explain our lessons.
 

Also, the child Ali Mushtaha, 10, said that he was very happy because he came to the festival and play with his colleges and bought toys and teaching aids.
