1600 Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike until achieving their demands

The Palestinian people salute on April 17 the anniversary of the Palestinian Prisoner Day, and the Palestinians began saluting this anniversary since 17/4/1974, when the Palestinian prisoners (Mahmoud Baker Hijazi) was released in the first process for the exchange of prisoners between the Palestinians and the Israeli occupation.
 

The Ministry of Interior and National Security in all its security and police services and departments participated in the protest to show  solidarity with all Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails in front of the Red Cross in Gaza.
 

Also, Minister of Interior Mr. Fathi Hammad and Palestinian police chief Brigadier General Tayseer Al-Batsh participated in the sit-in, which called by the national and Islamic forces on Tuesday morning; to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian prisoners and show solidarity with them.
 

For her part, the mother of the prisoner Raef Al-Farra, from Khan Younis, and who arrested since 8 years and sentenced to life, said: "We come today to show solidarity with our prisoners in the Palestinian Prisoner Day, and to share them their hunger strike and to strengthen their steadfastness and alleviate their suffering in the Israeli jails."
 

Moreover, the mother of the captured Maher Al-Bassiouni, who sentenced for 16 years, confirmed that she came to show solidarity with our prisoners, and she said that such events alleviate the suffering of the prisoners in Israeli jails and support their steadfastness.
