(Dozens of Palestinian and foreign solidarity activists and relatives of prisoners rallied in front of the Israeli Sharon jail on Wednesday demanding the release of all Palestinian female detainees.
The sit-in was organized by the prisoners committee and the international committee for solidarity with Palestinian women prisoners.
The Israeli police refused to allow the activists to approach the jail.
The spokesman for the international committee said that the sit-in was organized to mark the approach of the Palestinian prisoner’s day, to revive the issue of those prisoners, to expose the Zionist violations against them, and to rally international support for their cause.
