It was announced, on Monday in Ministry of Prisoners headquarters, the launch of an international conference to support the Palestinian prisoners, attended by many international personalities, human rights activists, and freedom activists.
This announcement came during a reception for “Miles of Smiles 11” solidarity convoy. The Palestinian minister of prisoners affairs Atallah Abu Sabah held the reception for the aid convoy delegation with a number of ministry officials, prisoners' families and liberated prisoners.
The minister welcomed the delegation who travelled to Gaza in solidarity with the Palestinian people and the Palestinian brave detainees. The minister had also stressed on the important role of the supportive delegations that visit Gaza in transmitting the detainees' sufferance and urging international support for the prisoners issue by holding more international meetings and conferences to disclose the occupation arbitrary policies in dealing with the detainees, asking them for more support for the detainees’ issue.
For his part, Dr. Essam Yousef, head of the convoy, announced the launch of a new Miles of Smiles convey, during June, which will be devoted to support the Palestinian prisoners under the name of "our hero prisoners we shall break the siege together".
He also announced the establishment of an international institution concerned for prisoners' affairs, and allocated for the defense of Palestinian prisoners under the name of freedom to the Palestinian prisoners. In addition, an international conference to support the prisoners was announced to start on the arrival of Miles of Smiles 13 convey.
