Wa'ed society for detainees and ex-detainees called on all advocates of the Palestinian cause in the world to make April 17 a global day to champion thousands of Palestinian freedom prisoners in Israeli jails.
In a press release on Saturday, spokesman for Wa'ed society Abdullah Qendil stated that his society started to network with a number of human rights activists and groups in some countries to rally international support for the cause of the Palestinian prisoners and organize an event for them similar to the global march to Jerusalem.
Spokesman Qendil highlighted that the tragic incarceration condition of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and the escalating violations against them should prompt all friends of Palestine to support their steadfastness and expose Israel's crimes against them.
The activist also noted that the Palestinian prisoner movement in Israeli jails plans to start the open hunger strike any moment but does not want to say when they would do that in order to avoid any attempt by Israeli jailers to spoil their protest step.
