Mr. Fathi Hammad, Minister of Interior and National Security, said: "we found in our visit to the Qatari Ministry of Interior appreciation and love for the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people."
He emphasized that the visiting delegation saw the Qatari Ministry of Interior is escorting all means of technology and modern scientific progress in building the security and police work in the State of Qatar.
Hammad said in an exclusive interview for "Interior Ministry's website": "Our visit was an official visit and a kind invitation from Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of State for Internal Affairs in Qatar after we send them an official letter to visit Qatar."
The visit included a meeting along with the Qatari minister a program to meet a number of leaders of the Ministry of Interior and a number of the headquarters of the security services and police training institutes.
Moreover, the Interior Minister described the work in the Qatari Ministry of Interior as a civilized and advanced, "where we found great management takes all leading causes of civilization, progress and prosperity."
Mr. Hammad pointed out that the Qatari Minister of Internal Affairs confirmed their readiness to support the Palestinian Interior Ministry.
Concerning the suffering of the Gaza Strip from the crisis of shortage of fuel and electricity, Hammad said: "we sent a letter through His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani, to the Emir of Qatar to intervene; to resolve the suffering of the Gaza Strip from the crises of diesel and electricity."
He added: "We also sent another letter to the Emir of Qatar by Mr. Khaled Meshaal to intervene to resolve the crisis in the Gaza Strip. His Highness has promised to intervene and stand by the issues of the Palestinian people."
