Adham Abu Selmiya, a spokesman for Supreme Committee of Ambulance and Emergency, declared that the number of the Palestinian martyrs, who were killed in the recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip increased to 26 martyrs.
With regard to the casualties of the Zionist aggression, Abu Selmiya pointed out that the outcome of the Israeli attack was 26 martyrs, including 3 children.
He explained that the highest number of martyrs was in Gaza (12 martyrs), 6 martyrs in northern Gaza Strip, 2 martyrs in Rafah, 4 martyrs in Khan Younis and one martyer in central Gaza Strip. Whereas, 16% of the victims over 50 years.
Concerning the wounded, Abu Selmiya showed that the total number of wounded was 96 wounded, (83.0% male, 17.0% females), and the number of wounded children was 30.
He pointed out that the weapons which used by the Israeli occupation since 2008 are missiles fired from drones, which break up parts of the body, amputation and burned and strange smell, demanding an international investigation about the quality of weapons and missiles which used in the bombing and targeting of civilians.
Accordingly, Abu Selmiya strongly denounced the Israeli crime which violates the basic ethical international and legal rules.
Regarding the contingency plan which should be ready for any escalation, Abu Selmiya confirmed that the supreme committee for ambulance and emergency is always ready to deal with any new Israeli escalation.
Moreover, Abu Selmiya called on the international community to immediately intervene to stop such crimes, and he also called the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to fulfill their obligations contained in Article I of the Convention.
Finally, Abu Selmiya thanked all local mass media for their great efforts in exposing the Israeli crimes, calling for the international and foreign mass media to be accurate in the terms of information to serve the Palestinian cause and protect the citizens.
