Israeli warplanes launched two air raids on the Gaza Strip at dawn Thursday but no casualties were reported, local sources said.
The sources said that the Israeli warplanes fired a missile at a deserted area east of Zaitun suburb in Gaza city and another one at an open piece of land to the east of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli warplanes remained flying over the coastal enclave as Palestinian security agencies evacuated all security buildings in anticipation of any air strike.
Egypt announced it succeeded in brokering a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian resistance factions on Tuesday but Israeli warplanes continue sporadic raids while resistance fighters retaliate by firing a number of rockets.
