Palestinian premier in Gaza Ismail Haneyya has affirmed that the Palestinian people and government have refused the Israeli trivial pretexts for the aggression on Gaza and insisted on halting assassinations.
Haneyya, who was speaking during a reception for the members of the Miles of Smiles 10 convoy, underlined that thanks to the people’s steadfastness, government contacts, and Egyptian efforts the Israeli attacks came to a halt according to a new agreement brokered by Cairo that stipulated an end to the Israeli policy of assassinations.
He expressed appreciation for the convoy members, who were mostly women, saying that the successive convoys of Miles of Smiles had enhanced the Palestinian people’s confidence and resoluteness.
The premier said that the series of convoys indicate that the Palestinian people were not alone in face of the aggression.
