Gaza-Interior Ministry
Mr. Fathi Hammad, Minister of Interior and National Security , has put the foundation stone of the building project to the Civil Status and Passports along the Street of the Arab League in Tal Al-Hawa in southern Gaza, under the patronage of Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh and funded purely from the Palestinian government.
The ceremony to lay the foundation stone , attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Mr. Kamel Abu Madi, and a number of officers and directors of the ministry.
Abu Madi said that "The implementation of the project building of the Civil Status and Passport Department under the blockade and the lack of possibilities is a step on the road of Palestinian sovereignty."
He noted that the Interior Ministry had provided a great services to all segments of our people, adding that "Through the launch of this project we deliver the message to the world that the destruction of the Zionist occupation of the pre-Civil Status building and Passports during the Al-Furqan Battle is not too late in the sails of our people."
