Five years ago , the Gaza Strip suffering a severe shortage of fuel crisis, and in these days the propel in the strip suffering a shortage of diesel and gasoline, by preventing its entering by the Israeli occupation and the inability of the owners of the tunnels so far to find ways to enter it into Gaza .
The tunnel owners have been able to overcome the crisis of diesel fuel and gasoline, which came as a result of the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip via Egypt ,which have cheaper prices than diesel and gasoline prices, which sometimes comes from the Israeli side.
In this context, Mr. Raed Abdul Hadi Rajab, director of the Petroleum Authority in the Gaza Strip, has confirmed that the main reason of the crisis and interruption of fuel is the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip five years ago, noting that the quantities which we received it from the Israeli side in the past were limited quantities not enough to meet needed.
He explained that many of the groups affected by a shortage of fuel, for example, the health, industrial, agricultural, commercial sectors, as well as vehicles and land and sea transportations.
In Turn, Dr. Mohammed Al-Kashif, Director General of hospitals in the Gaza Strip, said the main interruption of fuel in this way lead to a health catastrophic of patients status in hospitals and health centers, where the dependence on fuel in the operation of many of the devices and equipment necessary for the health of the patients.
Also , Media office of the Ministry of Interior Shed light on the suffering of the citizens due to the acute shortage of diesel fuel and gasoline.
A taxi driver Ahmed Hejjo (30 years), said we suffering a lot from a scarcity of necessary fuel to fill our cars and fits it with the appropriate price for the average citizens ,who they will pay a more fare .
As a college student Malaka Chouikh , showed that the high price of diesel fuel is the result of the acute shortage of available fuel for the conduct of vehicles and therefore, we as students suffering a lot when we went out to our universities, which forced us to pay our daily money which get it from our parents for transportation only.
The employee Basma Mohammed "25 years" said I'm having a lot of problems when I go to my work place because of the shortage passed cars due to lack of diesel fuel and high oil prices, adding that she arrives to the work in the late time, causing her discomfort.
Mohammed Hassouna, one of persons who working in the aluminum industry, said the acute crisis in the fuel and high oil prices lead directly to disable a large segment of the community, where they cannot use the gasoline to ignite the motors in the case of power outages which negatively affects the owners of apartments who are in desperate need to close their windows, for example, especially in winter.
Once again ,the director of the Petroleum Authority in the Gaza Strip, called the citizens to saving use the amount of fuel to be enough to the need of the rest citizens and not to store the material without the need for it, also he appealed to the concerned authorities to provide fuel for the Gaza strip which it caused a catastrophic situation is not bad consequences.
