Commenting on reports which said by some mass media about the alleged assault on ((a group of Shiites)) by the Palestinian policemen in the Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Interior confirms on the following:
1. The only Islamic doctrine in the Gaza Strip and Palestine in general is Sunni, and there is no any presence of the Shiites.
2. We respect all doctrines, including the Shiite and its presence in all over the world, and we do not interfere in their customs and traditions; so, we do not want to interfere in our customs and traditions.
3. What happened on Saturday was a prosecution carried out by the Palestinian policemen to a suspect group violates the law and plans to criminal acts.
4. The Interior Ministry will take into consideration all allegations regarding the assault on human rights in prosecuting the group.
5. We demand the mass media to be accurate and precise, and we call them and human rights organizations not to take claims as a postulate and be sure from the official sources.
