Ahmad Bahr, first deputy chairman of the Legislative Council, said that the Palestinian parliament is more powerful than Arab and Islamic parliaments by the supervisory role imposed on the performance of government and its institutions.

Bahr confirmed the Palestinian Legislative Council is exposed to many foiled plots aimed at undermining the work since the first day of his election, which reflect the positions of the Quartet and some Arab and international positions.

He pointed out that the crisis of kidnapping the PMs has been overcome through holding authorizations for the kidnapped deputies to complete the quorum of the Legislative Council and exercise their  functions normally.

Concerning the vision of change and reform bloc, Bahr said: "We are not afraid of elections and ready to accept the results, whether for us or against us, but the elections must be in a positive and convenient atmosphere to all parties."
