Lt. Col.Amer Abu Srour, Director General of marine Police , has confirmed that they spend all efforts to work effectively on the coasts and to keep security on the western shores deployed along the coast to maintain the properties of citizens in the land and sea .
Col. Abu Srour said ,we work to maintainthe properties of the fishermen ,which maybe estimating with millionsdollars, so we protect them and their properties , also the marine police control the stolen goods that may occur on the beaches, and save the sinking boats , as well as searchand recovery the lostthingsin the seaand outside, as the boatsthat mightsinkcompletely saved by its trained team , the depth of water reachto 16meters sometimes .
Also, the marine police guarding thesea coasts in coordinationwith the Civil Defenseand the Ministryof Transport and Communications, which in turn extractedlicensesfor fishing boats, as well asthe marine police coordinates with the Civil Defenseto providesecurity and safety conditions.

In the same context , he showed that they coordinatewith the Ministry ofAgricultureto work onthe protection offisheries andfish, particularly as some transgressorsof the law might using blast or poison fishing.
There is a cooperation between us and the authority of environment to work to preserve the marine environment and prevent the pollution of the water, and there is a cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works to arrange the development of the port of Gaza.
Marine Police is seeking to upgrade its cadres through training courses, members and officers, and hold sessions with individuals to improve their performing physically and mentally as the courses of diving, swimming, rescuing , and driving the boats.
He continued , "our members are deployed in the fish shop to monitor and regulate the progress of work, and the sales price, and the nature of the offered fish.
In the case of discovering rotten fish we communicate with the Investigation of Supply which seize the fish then damaging it , and transfer the accused to the competent authorities, Abu-Srour explained .
