Jewish settlers on Sunday night daubed the entrance of the Sahaba Mosque, in the village of Bani Naim to the east of al-Khalil, with racist graffiti which insulted Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The Imam of the mosque Jihad Manasrah said that Jewish settlers wrote on the walls of the mosque phrases insulting to Islam and the Prophet (PBUH) as well as threats to Palestinians.
Manasrah said that the attack took place during the night and that when worshipers arrived at the mosque for the dawn prayers they found the graffiti on the walls of the mosque. The writings on the wall were sighned with “Yitzhar youth organisation”. Yitzhar is a settlement near the village. The attackers warned of further attacks as part of the campaign they call "the price tag".
Settlers are waging a war against Palestinians and their holy places in a campaign they call the "price tag" during which they torched a number of mosques and assaulted Palestinian people and property.
