Gaza-Interior Ministry
According to the continuing meetings held in order to complete the reconciliation and the restoration of Palestinian unity, and what has been agreed by emanating committees from the Cairo agreement to practice its work in order to start the implementation of the provisions in the agreement which provides for " immediate commencement and speedy implementation of the terms of reconciliation and on the top priorities the files of politicians detainees and the crisis of passports as steps to build confidence. "
In spite of all this the government is still in Ramallah has not implemented what was agreed upon to serve the interests of our people away from the partisan interests and narrow factional interests, as it still refuses to send passports to our people in the Gaza Strip ,which led to the aggravation of humanitarian crisis in the Strip .
While we are surprised silence of institutions and organizations and human rights organizations concerned with human rights and the silence of our Egyptian brothers, the sponsor of the Agreement on Reconciliation, Non pressure on the government in Ramallah to send the passports :
1. We emphasize that to obtain a passport is an inherent right to every Palestinian regardless ofhispolitical affiliation.
2. We call on Mr. Mahmoud Abbas to issue immediate instructions to send the passports to the Gaza Strip and the personal and direct supervision of that.
3. We renew our call for the brothers, the Egyptians and all the civil institutions and civil society organizations and human rights associations to put pressure on Ramallah government for sending the passports to the Gaza Strip.
