An Arab League sponsored conference on Jerusalem would be held in Doha, Qatar, in mid-January to discuss means of supporting the holy city in face of growing Israeli violations.
Mohammed Subaih, the assistant Arab League secretary general, said in a statement on Saturday that the international conference, which would primarily target addressing non-Arabs, would discuss the Israeli violations of holy shrines and landmarks and desecrating graves.
The topics would include the impact of the Israeli violations on the health and educational sectors in the occupied holy city, he said, noting that Jerusalemite figures would be invited in their capacity as the most capable persons of speaking about those violations.
Subaih said that the conference is organized in line with the 22nd Arab summit’s resolutions, and would boost efforts aimed at supporting Jerusalem in face of the “serious” Israeli occupation’s practices.
