Four accused were arrested by Palestinian police for their killing to a student " Khaleel Al-Taweel " at Al Azhar university in Gaza on Monday afternoon, in addition to other persons assaulted a staff at the university.
Mr. Ihab Al-Ghussain , a spokesman for the Interior Ministry, has said in a statement that students brawl started inside the campus of Al-Azhar University, then moved to outside the walls of the university, where some of students hit Al-Taweel in his head that led to his death directly, and the problem developed and other members attacked on a staff at the university that led to his injury. "
Al-Ghussain stressed that the police followed the event from its beginning, and continued with the university administration and demanded the need for calm to university students.
He showed that all the universities have places for police inside it except Al-Azhar University, explaining that "The management of Al-Azhar University has long rejected the presence of police inside it , and this caused many problems and fights do not stop, unfortunately, within the university."
Al- Ghussein assured that the police should ask the university administration to find an Office to the Police in Al-Azhar like other universities to provide security and said, " It is not acceptable to be chaos in this permanent and continuous way on the campus of Al-Azhar university , and the fact of this problem did not stop at this point, but it evolved into several points."
He warned that the police demanded the university administration to suspend the study in the coming days so calm and have the appropriate atmosphere for the return of students to study.
He explained that investigations were going with defendants, to prove the direct relationship with death then referred them to the judiciary .
