The international committee to end the siege on Gaza has called on the world community to immediately act to break the Israeli siege of the coastal Strip.
Zaher Al-Birawi, the spokesman for the committee, said in a statement on Sunday that the Israeli threat to sever infrastructural facilities extended to Gaza called for more popular worldwide efforts to lift the siege.
He said that the world’s silence regarding the Israeli crimes of besieging Gaza and withholding Palestinian tax money was “unjustified and unethical”.
Birawi asked the Arab countries to pressure Israel and to extend generous financial assistance to the Palestinian people.
Israel’s deputy premier Danny Ayalon had said that his government was considering cutting off infrastructural services extended to the Strip.
