Al-Ghusain: Abbas promises to end arrests

Eng. Ihab Al-Ghusain, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior and National Security, revealed that Hamas movement has had a real promise from the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to end political arrests before the middle of next month.
 

Al-Ghusain confirmed in press statements that there are no political detainees in Gaza. He also said: "Fatah have already given us a list including 34 names, and we explained that they are criminals."
 

He pointed out that Fatah considers that who committed a crime during the political division, he is political detainee not criminal, and we consider that the political prisoner who is detained because of political affiliation only.
 

Moreover, Al-Ghusain refused what said about the reconciliation that it is formalism, and he said: "we seek to deal with files that can be applied to the ground, as well as we developed a unified political strategy in accordance with all agreed upon in common."

The coming days will practically prove that Abbas- Mashal meeting is not just promises, as we identified specific dates for processing files," pointing out that the options are limited, so, all files should be dealt. " Al-Ghusain said.
 

On the other hand, Al-Ghusain said: "The Hamas movement has in mind that the Palestinian people to affiliate with on all factions that is a form of resistance."
 

He noted that the "popular resistance is not a new in principle, but the new is the Palestinian consensus and compatibility to participate in the popular resistance in the West Bank."
 

Furthermore, Al-Ghusain said that a meeting for all Palestinian factions will be arranged soon; to determine the participation mechanisms, pointing out that the popular resistance embarrass the Israeli occupation.
