Palestinian Ministry of Interior and National Security is keen on preserving human dignity and his security, in addition to its commitment to bring joy and tranquility to the hearts of our Palestinian people by all means and possibilities.
The Interior Ministry is accustomed to release a number of convicts in the rehabilitation and reform centers, who have good behavior during their sentences.
These grants which made by the Ministry of Interior; in order to bring joy and happiness to the families of convicts and alleviate their suffering.
With the approach of Eid Al-Adha, the Ministry of Interior and National Security representative by its minister Mr. Fathi Hammad warmly congratulates the Arab and Islamic nations in general and the Palestinian people particularly on this occasion.
On this blessed occasion, the Ministry of Interior announces the following:
1. Based on the statutory powers delegated to the Minister of Interior Mr. Fathi Hammad as the text of Article 45 and 46 of the Prisons Act No. 6 of 1998, the Minister of Interior decided to release 60 convicts.
2. General directorate of reform and rehabilitation centers with the Attorney General and the competent courts to close all files of sixty convicts to release them finally.
3. The Ministry of Interior granted 120 convicts a home leave during the days of Eid Al-Adha, and they should surrender themselves after Eid.
4. The Ministry of Interior recalls on this occasion the detained prisoners in the Israeli prisons, and it call all human rights and international organizations to transfer their suffering and expose the brutal Israeli practices against them.
5. The Ministry of Interior confirms that there are no political prisoners in the Gaza Strip and demand the President Mahmoud Abbas and his security services in the West Bank to immediately release all political prisoners as a goodwill gesture to apply the Palestinian national reconciliation.
