Maj. Jihad Hamada , the Director of the Investigation of Supply,has indicated that the detectives follow the positive steps to detect the rotten food, especially with the approaching season of Eid al-Adha, in coordination with the Department of Consumer Protection in the Ministry of National Economy and the Department of Preventive Medicine in the Ministry of Health, the health of municipalities and local government.
He said, "The investigation of supply inspect the prices and quality of foods , while ensuring the validity of it , as we continuously inspect restaurants to ensure food safety, and the health status of customers."
He noted that the Investigation of Supply organizes tours to the shops that sell food, adding: "There is a campaign almost daily on some of the rotten food, or that contain any defect, whether they bulge in the product, or the expiry of the expiry date, or attempt to Write-off date of production. "
Hamada added : "We are dealing with the violator merchant by informed him to attend initially , and then transferred to the court, and if the affair repeated he will transfer to the prosecution to complete legal procedures against him."
Regarding to the sale of sweets shops, he said: "Some of traders are trying to mix expired desserts with other validity of it , so we inspect the shops and stores to control the quantity, and damage it.
At the level of milks and cheese Hamada added: "We visit the factories of milks and cheese for inspection on the extent to follow the safety procedures ,whereas, keeping the goods in refrigerators, especially during transfer it in the vehicles in Gaza, and if any distribution car does not contain the refrigerator is turned off its distributor and work the legal procedures against him."
Hamada confirmed the absence of monopoly situations in Gaza, adding that traders are cooperating with the Investigation of Supply, and inform on any case, where they taking the quantities back and transfer the trader to the persecution .
He pointed out that there is an agreement between the Investigation of Supply and the Committee on the tunnels and the border not to enter fireworks and crackers, "so as not to spoil the joy of the citizens holiday," noting that recently they seized two crackers manufacturers to not follow them to the safety and security conditions for causing the danger to the life of the population.
At the end Hamada called on the citizens to follow the correct way to the slaughter of sacrificial animals to ensure health and safety, it is came during a visit organized by the Investigation of Supply to the major massacres in the Gaza strip.
