Al-Ghusain: Security services play significant and memorable role in Wafa'a Al-Ahrar day

Palestinian Ministry of Interior and National Security announced last week that a security committee includes a number of leaders of security agencies was formed; to develop security plans for the reception of freed prisoners from the moment of their arrival in the Rafah crossing and until they return to their homes and their families.

The Interior Ministry has set up several committees include all departments to arrange the reception of the freed prisoners, and in coordination with the Palestinian factions, especially Hamas movement, which included a security committee under the supervision of the Interior Ministry.

The security committee developed plans to prevent any congestions, in addition to secure the procession of freed prisoners from the Rafah crossing to the green land in the west of Gaza.

Furthermore, a government official reception festivity was held at the Rafah crossing since the arrival of the freed prisoners to the crossing, then the freed prisoners moved in a solemn procession heading for the green land; to celebrate their release.

The Interior Ministry and Palestinian government was responsible for the celebration, which was attended by several legal persons, such as ministers, deputies, factions' leaders and the masses of the Palestinian people to celebrate the freed prisoners.

The security committee in coordination with the governmental and popular authorities; to provide all requirements of security and safety for the freed prisoners and the masses.

Accordingly, Eng. Ihab Al-Ghusain, spokesman for the Interior Ministry, confirmed that the ministry and all its security services and police announced a full alert among its members since the first hours of the morning on Tuesday, which witnessed the completion of the exchange deal and the release of the first batch of Palestinian prisoners.

"The members of security services played significant and memorable role secure processions and alleviate traffic congestion in the streets and major junctions in the various governorates of the Gaza Strip and securing convoys of official figures and freed prisoners and their families." Al-Ghusain said.
 

Al-Ghusain also mentioned that the policemen and security services accompanied the prisoners' families, official persons and journalists since the first hours of their launch from cities of the Gaza Strip to the Rafah border crossing.
 

Moreover, Al-Ghusain described the role that carried out by police and security services in that day as "distinctive and memorable." He added: "the efforts of policemen and security services in the Gaza Strip continued for over 15 hours to ensure that the festival rally and memorable day for our people."

The spokesman for the Interior Ministry praised the role of security services and policemen in that memorable day, and he thanked all for their great efforts for the success of the activities to receive the freed prisoners.
