Gaza-Interior Ministry
After the decision of the Ministry of Interior to activate the legal procedures applied by the National Authority regarding the entry and residence of foreigners into the Gaza Strip .. We in the governmental media office have organized several consultations , meetings and dialogues with the competent authorities in the Ministry of Interior with many representatives of the major foreign media working in the Palestinian territories, to create mechanisms to apply the law with no effect on the speed of the media work .. The result of these meetings to agree on the following actions:
1. Governmental media office asked the Foreign Press Association to provide a list of journalists affiliated to them for adoption.
2. Governmental Information Office provides a list of journalists permanent access to the Gaza Strip, to grant them an annual residence from the Ministry of Interior automatically renewed annually.
3. Journalists who work as a free and wish to enter Gaza, they can clarify the receiving and calling them, and the request needs only two days before and not a week for the specificity of the media work, and this is through the Governmental Information Office and the Ministry of Interior.
4. In the case of emergency and urgent event which requires a rapid entry to Gaza journalists will be dealt with positively and in an extraordinary and urgent.
5. In the case of the desire of the major media to enter some hardware for the benefit of its offices in Gaza, it is possible to coordinate with the government media office before a reasonable time to facilitate the order .
6. We emphasize that this procedure comes in the context of maintaining public order and personal security of visitors and achieve the safety of the work.
