Minister of Interior Mr. Fathi Hammad and Palestinian police chief Brigadier general Tayseer Al-Batsh, in addition to the Interior Ministry's leaders and a number of security officers sit in at the protest tent in front of the headquarters of International Committee of Red Cross in Gaza City.
This participation was made to show solidarity with the prisoners, who are in hunger strike because of deterioration their living conditions and humanitarian situation in the Israeli prisons.
Consequently, Hammad confirmed in the sit-in on the need to support prisoners in their struggle and hunger strike, saluting all the prisoners, who have sacrificed their freedom in order to support their religion and their homeland.
