Statement issued by Ministry of Interior and National Security on organizing entry and residence of foreigners in territories of Palestinian Authority - Gaza Strip

Palestinian Ministry of Interior and National Security is keen to exert efforts to facilitate and ensure the entry and departure or residence of foreign visitors to the territories of the Palestinian National Authority in the Gaza Strip.
 

The Interior Ministry confirms on the important role which played by foreign visitors or residents in supporting the cause of the Palestinian people at social, economic and media levels. Whereas, they transfer the suffering of the besiege Gaza Strip's people for five years to the world.
 

Accordingly, the Interior Ministry called on all foreigners, non-Palestinians, who are wishing to enter the territories of the Palestinian Authority in the Gaza Strip to follow the following procedures:


- Foreigners should apply to the Ministry of Interior - General Directorate of Residence and Foreign Affairs- a week before the date of entry and expired a month after release.


- Foreigners who wish to stay for more than a week, they should check up the General Directorate of Residence and Foreign Affairs in the Ministry of Interior to regulate their residence within the territories of the Gaza Strip.


- Concerning the foreign journalists, a special statement will be issued by the governmental media office about the actions which should followed by them.
 

Furthermore, we make you aware of the beginning of applying the procedures which mentioned above will be in 11/10/2011, even though we inform the relevant authorities two weeks ago in this respect before applying the new procedures.
