Eng. Ihab Al-Ghussain, Ministry of Interior's spokesman, became astonished regarding what mentioned in the statement of Reporters Without Borders, that considered that the Palestinian government in Gaza tightens the grip around journalists to the Gaza Strip.

Al-Ghusain said to Pal Today, what we do is quite the opposite, and we have taken arrangements to facilitate the access of foreigners and journalists to the Gaza Strip, and to provide security and protection for them. He added that the statement of Reporters Without Borders is based on false information and informal sources.

Accordingly, Al-Ghusain confirmed that the Ministry of Interior called on representatives of foreign journalists to brief them on the overall arrangements which made by the Interior Ministry in Gaza; to maintain the security and safety of all foreigners, who "does not has a Palestinian nationality," in the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, Al-Ghusain explained that the mechanisms, which used by the Interior Ministry, are respected and appreciated by several international and foreign bodies, expressing his regret of the "Reporters without borders", that issued a statement accusing the government is cracking down on journalists to enter the Gaza Strip, without knowing the details from the competent authorities.
