Dozens of Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip have asked the international community, the Human Rights Council and the United Nations to intervene to alleviate their suffering and to provide protection for them to practice their work safely.
Whereas, the Palestinian fishermen sit in a protest organized by the fishermen's syndicate in the port of Gaza on Wednesday, with the participation of fishermen's head Nizar Ayyash, in addition to dozens of fishermen.
Ayyash said: "Today we protest against the Israeli practices which committed against the Palestinian fishermen," asserting that the Israeli attacks against them are increasing day by day.
"The Israeli forces are repeatedly shooting and arresting them, in addition to stealing their nets and transporting it to the port of Ashdod." Ayyash added.
He also asserted that the Israeli forces confiscated more than 250 motors since the start of Al-Aqsa Intifada."
Ayyash mentioned that eight Palestinian fishermen were killed, and thirty-eight were wounded, as a result of Israeli attacks.
