All journalists in the world have celebrated on the twenty-sixth of September of each year with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian journalist who falls, whereas, we are proud with the Palestinian journalist, who raise their voice in all corners of the earth to confront the arrogance of Israeli occupation, that seeking to quell their voices.
The Palestinian journalist, despite his suffering as a result Israeli practices and violations against them, were killed and denied of freedom of movement and access to the truth, have exerted more efforts to defend on the Palestinian issue and detect crimes and terrorism of the occupation and the massacres that committed against our people.
We in General Directorate of Public Relations and Media at the Ministry of Interior and National Security congratulate the distinguished Palestinian journalists in all printed and audio-visual mass media and in all places of their presence, and on this occasion we emphasize on:
1. Ministry of Interior and National Security is working hard to provide full protection for journalists and media institutions and support their freedom of expression and uncover the truth.
2. The journalist has the right to work freely and without obstacles, armed with social responsibility which protect him from getting out of the national front and work according to the law, values, ethics and community norms.
3. We praise the role of Palestinian journalists in supporting the Palestinian people and uphold the rights to obtain freedom and peace.
4. We call on Palestinian journalists and mass media to exert more efforts to expose the Israeli serious violations against civilians, and continuing attempts to Judaize Jerusalem and displace the population through expanding settlements in the occupied West Bank.
5. We also call journalists to play a constructive and positive role in the success of Palestinian reconciliation efforts on the ground and to strengthen the foundations of unity among the Palestinian people and factions.
6. We call on Arab and international community to take immediate and serious actions to stop the Israeli violations against Palestinian journalists, and to take steps to ensure the safety of journalists, primarily, and to ensure freedom of action for journalists.
Finally ... All greetings and appreciation to the martyrs of Palestinian press, and we wish speedy recovery for wounded journalists, who sacrificed in order to expose Israeli crimes which committed against our people.
And all greetings to the journalists, who have detained in the Israeli jails, to obliterate the truth and violate their rights and immunities which guaranteed by international law.
