Deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC) Ahmed Baher met on Tuesday evening with activists from Miles of Smiles aid convoy at his office in the Gaza Strip.
Baher warmly welcomed the activists and hailed their humanitarian efforts to help the Palestinians in Gaza.
"We appreciate this visit which shows how much you love Palestine, and as you are bringing medical assistance to patients of Palestine especially the children, you help with such efforts the Palestinian cause and the children deprived of treatment because of the blockade. Today, you have brought a smile to our kids and their families," the lawmaker stressed.
The lawmaker also briefed the activists on the suffering of Gaza people and how Israel's unjust siege affected their lives very badly.
