Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya met on Saturday evening with a Malaysian delegation which visited the Gaza Strip to express solidarity with its people.
Haneyya during the meeting reiterated his government's adherence to the option of resistance and stressed that any political action must be according to the Palestinian constants.
He also expressed his belief in Palestine's Arab and Islamic depth, and his optimism about the Arab spring and the harbingers of victory it brought with it.
The premier on behalf of the Palestinian government and people thanked the Malaysian people and their Islamic institutions for extending every help and support for the Palestinian people and strengthening their steadfastness in the face of the occupation.
For his part, Malaysian lawmaker Khaled Sayed affirmed that his country would always be supportive of the Palestinian people and their national cause.
Sayed hailed the steadfastness of the Palestinian people as inspiring to the world's free people who rose against the injustice.
Deputy head of the Muslim care society in Malaysia Zulkefli Nani, for his part, stressed that the Malaysian delegation would convey the Palestinian people's concerns to the whole world and would always act as ambassadors of Palestine.
