Condensate Campaign To Set Traffic In Gaza Streets

Major Majdi Abu Hatab, manager of traffic campaign, confirmed that the campaign which lunched on 7. 7.2011, is running as planned positively without any obstacles.


Abu Hatab showed that the campaign has been launched to implement the law through the patrols of traffic police that deployed in all governorates of the Gaza Strip every day; to check all vehicles on the road.


With regard to securities that must be available in the legal vehicle, Major Abu Hatab said: "the driver should have a valid driving license, a valid license of vehicle, in addition to an insurance for the vehicle is valid."


Major Abu Hatab called on all drivers, who have not completed their papers yet, to expedite the completion of all their papers in the competent authorities so as not to expose themselves to legal accountability by the campaign's officials.


Moreover, Colonel Kamal Abu Nada mentioned that the campaign is going well, noting the commitment of the Palestinian street in the Gaza Strip by 90% during the campaign.


Abu Nada said: "the offices of license, insurance, and driving schools have become crowded with citizens and drivers who want to comply with the law."

Concerning that actions that are taken against offending drivers, Colonel Abu Nada showed the traffic policemen seize the violated vehicle, calling on all drivers to comply with police instructions and to walk according to the law.


He also praised the media campaign launched prior to the strict application of traffic campaign, saying it resulted in very significantly in raising the awareness of drivers and citizens.

Colonel Abu Nada stressed that the campaign has achieved security and safety for citizens, noting that the license will include all vehicles without exception.
