Lt. Col. Abu Sha'ar: Number of travelers more than 30 thousand

Lt. Col. Ayyub Abu Sha'ar, director felt the Rafah crossing, "The number of travelers who register to travel is more than 30 thousand passengers and the number is increasing due to the presence of large numbers of visitors in the Gaza Strip, that came to spend the summer holidays."


Abu Sha'ar confirmed in a statement for "Interior Minisrty's website" that the Interior Ministry has resorted to limit travel to the owners of humanitarian cases as a result of the large numbers of registered people that have a pressing need to travel, such as students, patiants and the owners of stays.


Also, he showed the Egyptian announcement about the facilities in travel and allowing who are above the age of forty and under the age of eighteenth to travel without coordinating, push large numbers of citizens to register to travel.


Abu Sha'ar added: "Due to the limited number allowed to travel and the increased number of registered people, with the approach of Ramadan and Eid, the crisis will be aggravated."


Accordingly, Abu Sha'ar appealed the Egyptian authorities to increase the number of passengers; in order to alleviate the citizens' suffering in the Gaza Strip and solve the problem of large numbers of registered people for travel.
