Police Information Center at General Administration for Communications and Information Technology mentioned in its monthly report, "The crime rate in the Gaza Strip is witnessing a noticeable decrease in the overall rate in June."
The report shows that the month of June witnessed a murder compared to last May, which, there were two murders.
It also indicated to a decrease in crime rate of thefts (19) crimes, in addition to a noticeable reduction in kidnappings and seizing freedom compared with the month of May.
Concerning the traffic accidents, the number of road accidents during June was (1078), (689) of them have been resolved amicably.
The report also records remarkable activity of Anti-drugs police and police of municipalities.
Accordingly, Omar Abu Amra confirmed that the Gaza Strip is witnessing a noticeable decrease in crime rate, day by day, and the Gazans live in unprecedented security and stability state.
Abu Amra considered the bad use of police report by some mass media as an incitement and distortion to distinguished police performance, stressing that the high numbers especially in cases of seizing drugs demonstrates the police activity and their hard work in exposing the crimes.
