"European campaign to lift the siege onGaza,"has declared the launch ofthe firstship"Freedom Flotilla 2",on Saturday evening, towardthe besieged Gaza Strip, from aFrenchport.
MazenKahil, a member of the campaign,said in a press statement: " The firstship" Freedom Flotilla2 ",whichbears the name of" dignity ", was launchedfrom the port ofFrench Corsica,on its wayto thestarting point forthe rest of thefleet," explaining that this shipwill join another Frenchshipbearing the name"LewisMichael.
He pointedout that someshipsof "Freedom Flotilla 2"facing sometechnical hurdles, which may cause thepostponement of thelaunch,scheduled for mid-week.
The"coalition ofthe Freedom Flotilla," hademphasized his insistence to launch the shipsto the Gaza Strip, including humanitarian aids to the Palestinians strandedforthe fifth consecutive year, despite the escalatingIsraeli threats, and attemptsto disablethe fleet.
