Rafah crossing is the only outlet for one million and a half Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Suffering through the Rafah crossing almost amounted to a humanitarian catastrophe because a lot of travelers are being returned and prevented from traveling via Rafah crossing.
Unfortunately, Nowadays the suffering of Palestinians is increasing and exacerbating in an unprecedented way, and calls are rising for opening the Rafah crossing permanently.
Dua'a Abu Misbeh is a Palestinian lady from Deir Al-Balah, whose future is threatened in the absence of permission to leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing to reach for her bridegroom in Qatar, that has not seen him since for seven months!!
The Palestinian lady comes to the Rafah crossing, accompanied by her parents, continuously since contraction of marriage on the sixth of January 2011, hoping to be allowed to travel through the only outlet for the residents of Gaza Strip, and every time she receives a new date for travel under the pretext of the existence of congestion and that her name is not included for travel.
As every day, Dua'a Abu Misbeh, accompanied by her parents, stood on the gate of Rafah crossing, carrying her bags and wedding suit until the Egyptian side allows her to travel to her bridegroom.
"I have come 100 times on the Rafah crossing and I did not leave Gaza, and every time the Egyptians deprived me travel. " Abu Misbeh shouted.
She said in dolorous tone: "I have not seen my husband since we engaged, Is not it my rightto see him?!, Why they prevent me to travel to see him and live like the rest of grooms ..?!".
Therefore, Abu Misbeh calls all competent authorities including Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh in Gaza to intervene immediately to solve her problem and end her suffering as soon as possible, and she demanded the Egyptian authorities to open the Rafah crossing permanently and implement the facilities on the crossing.
