89,000 students sitting for an examinations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip this year

Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Gaza confirmed that the general secondary exams which held in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip last Wednesday is going well .

Marwan Sharaf, vice-chairman of measurement and evaluation, said that "general secondary exams have held on time and implemented jointly with the Ministry of Education in Ramallah."
 
Sharaf showed that 89 thousand students in the West Bank and Gaza sit for an examinations on Wednesday morning 15/6, including 36,400 students from the Gaza and Strip and 52,600 students from the West Bank.

He added that the number of committees of exams is 204 in all Gaza Strip's governorates, while the number of observers, headmasters, supervisors and teachers is 9 thousand.
 
Sharaf pointed out that Ministry of Education coordinated with Palestinian police; to provide security and safety and ensure the conduct of examinations as the fullest and keep the oversight committees, as well as it coordinated with Ministry of Health to provide doctors and nurses in all committees.

And about the existence of coordination between Ministry of Education in Gaza and its counterpart in the West bank, Sharaf said: "We are in the general administration for measurement and evaluation and examination are communicating daily with the ministry in Ramallah; to ensure that examinations are unified all over the country."

Moreover, he stressed on the need to provide all appropriate atmosphere for students and to ensure the stability and success to the fullest.

Therefore, Sharaf called on students not to be tension and excitement and interest in study, pointing out that the ministerial book is the basic reference for the Ministry of Education, and he demanded parents to provide a comfortable and suitable environment for their sons.
