Palestinian police in Gaza remains committed to provide good circumstance for prisoners home. The Interior Ministry names these prisons as a rehabilitation center for those who commit crimes after taking control occurred in 2006.
Sergeant Iman Abo Jayyab said , "We have a clinic where there is a general doctor, a psychological doctor, and a dentist
The Interior Ministry also organizes lectures, counseling and moral guidance for the prisoners to repairer behavior. An officer explained that after several lectures,most prisoners were taught to pray andrequest \mercy of Allah. She said that a clear change on their behavior is noted by investigators and the jailers.
In another context, the consular Faten Alburche stressed that the prisoners have the right to see their families every week and call them by phone. For mothers, they are permitted to kiss their babies and children without separation. "During Ramadan, the administration allowed the prisoners to eat the meal that they would with their families, we treat them in a goodwayaccording to law and Islamic religion instructions " she said .
Concerning organizations of human rights, Alburche pointed out that ICRC often comes to the rehabilitation center without a specific date and its delegation expressed satisfaction and appreciation of way of the treatment adopted by the administration center.
In a response to a question on the uniform of prisoners, Sergeant Iman Abo Jayyab had reported that prisoners have the right to wear what they like and they have the right to go outside their hall once a week .
The sergeant pointed to financial support for the prisoners after they leave the prison to prevent them from committing new offenses.
During a visit to the hall of prisoners, the divorced prisoner R said poor economic situation forced her to steal for the daily bread of her son. She said that she feels happy in prison because of good observation and medical care. A young woman had confessed, "I disguised as a man and worked in a carriage shop to keep my little sister after my mother died and my father left us in the street, I am Palestinian, so must stand in my way.”
