He added during the 30-minute meeting on Monday with the Sheikh of Al-Azhar in Cairo, Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb, that the establishment of the state of Palestine was in the offing .
Dr. Tayeb congratulated the Palestinian people on the signing of the reconciliation that signaled the end to the state of internal division.
Mishaal thanked Egypt for its role in the reconciliation process and prayed for its continued unity.
