The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) extended the administrative detention, without trial, of MP Dr. Mahmoud Al-Ramahi for six more months, the international campaign to release detained lawmakers said on Sunday.
It added in a statement that Ramahi's detention ends on Monday but was extended at the last moment as is usual with the IOA practices against Palestinian detainees.
The campaign lashed out at the world's silence towards the continued IOA piracy against members of the Palestinian legislative council since 2006. It added that the IOA kidnaps MPs in total disregard of their immunity and try them in null and void trials.
Such a "serious" policy should come to an end, it said, adding that the policy reflects the IOA "criminal mentality" and absolute disrespect for international resolutions.
The IOA is still holding 14 Palestinian MPs in custody in a serious precedence and blatant violation of the international laws and agreements, the campaign concluded.
