A Palestinian prisoner has been on hunger strike for three days demanding medical treatment to his worsening health condition, the Palestinian prisoner's association said on Saturday.
It added in a statement that Yehya Sherida, who has served 9 years of his 22-year sentence, was suffering from a number of illnesses and the Israeli prison administration was refusing to treat him or move him to hospital despite his repeated requests.
Sherida is so weak that he could not eat and lives on water and liquids.
The association urged the international and human rights organizations to intervene and save the life of Sherida, holding the Israeli prison administration fully responsible for his life.
