Dr. Nabil Abu Shamala, director of general policy and planning, has confirmed the importance of regional agricultural planning which takes into account the specificity of each region to make a balanced agricultural development.
This is came during the meeting with staff administration and planning departments and NGOs in the directorates .
The meeting discussed a number of important issues facing the heads of the departments of Planning and seeking the ways to solve it and how coordination between the departments and NGOs, as well as mechanisms to activate the planning departments in the districts.
The meeting agreed to strengthen coordination between the departments and the General Directorate of Planning, through more flexible mechanisms, stressing the need to supplement the General Directorate of Planning by renewable data and facilitating to get it .
At the end of the meeting , participants confirmed the need to promote the concept of regional agricultural planning according to the needs, resources, and the specificity of each region
