The Ministry of Social Affairs in the Palestinian government , has formed a preparatory committee for the commemorate of the Palestinian Orphan Day in the first of April, to oversee the activities of the orphan day and honor the international foster associations to the orphans in the Gaza Strip
The ministry said in a press statement , " The ministry is keen to celebrate this day for the third year within its social work because of its importance to remind the community that this segment represents a large segment of Palestinian society , whereas the number of victims increased especially after the recent war on Gaza strip
According to the statement , the celebration of the orphan day is to notice these children and working alongside them to stand by them morally and drew the media for this segment, as well as to urge the international community to support and assist orphans and provide all the potential to help their organizations
The Ministry indicated its intention to honor international foster institutions for orphans, recognition of the role and efforts to serve this segment that will help them to overcome the difficulties of life
