Palestinian Ministry of Interior and National Security has launched on Saturday 26/2/2011, a campaign of "Citizen Service"; to serve the Palestinian people and to show the programs of Interior Ministry, which prepared for citizens in the Gaza Strip, as the program of the campaign is based on awareness, education and volunteer work.
Ministry of Interior will follow during the campaign the problems of public actively and by using the highest degree of technology.
Mr. Ali Al-Nabulsya, director of public relation department at General Directorate of Public Relations and Media, said to Ministry of Interior's website: " Campaign of "Citizen Service" will continue nearly a month, and it aims to provide service to the citizens in the Gaza Strip and improve the infrastructure of public places.
"Toll-free number has been done in order to follow up and solve the complaints of citizens urgently." Al-Nabulsya added.
He also pointed out that the toll-free number will receive calls every day "from 8 am to 3 pm" except for Friday and Saturday.
Al-Nabulsya confirmed that the toll-free number was designed to enable all classes of the Palestinian people to communicate with the Interior Ministry and he said: "We will do our best to follow up the issues and complaints of citizens to resolve it directly and immediately as possible as we can," noting that all advices and proposals of citizens will be taken into consideration.
In the same vein, Lt. Col. Dr. Moataz Al-Khalidi, director of public relations department at Palestinian Police Service, confirmed that the campaign of "Citizen Service" which supervised by Ministry of Interior and its security services has implemented to serve all classes of Palestinian society, that included several events and activities, which raising the slogan of campaign "hand-in-hand to make a safe community", so that they can improve their homeland and develop it.
Lt. Col. Al-Khalidi said: "We are servants for all citizens in the Gaza Strip, and we are proud to serve them." Whereas, the security services raise the slogan of "a hand works and the other fight to make a prosperous future."
Concerning his evaluation for the campaign's activities, Al-Khalidi said "the campaign of "Citizen Service" is too active since the beginning until today, whereas, many great events and actions were done in all governorates of the Gaza Strip, and we hope to continue with the same vigor until the end of the campaign."
He added: "I'm optimistic with the participation of all population in the Gaza Strip with Ministry of Interior during the campaign, such as municipalities, civil society organizations, students, workers and young people to achieve the concept of community police.
