Since 1948 , Israeli occupation have imposed on Palestinian women a unique lifestyle1, which is different from other women's lives .
Palestinian women , whether in Palestine or abroad , are denied their basic human rights , security , freedom of movement , safe and healthy environment , and education .They became refugees living in unusual conditions and bearing heavy responsibilities and duties that are beyond their capacity and endurance ability .
Therefore , Israeli occupation have a big role to prevent Palestinian women their basic rights , and they intended to fight them by different ways .
On Tuesday, March 8 , 2011 Althoraya association for communication and media , has organized a workshop in Al-Commodore hotel on Gaza beach entitled " Palestinian women … Suffering and steadfastness " .
The workshop headed by MP and the chairman of the board in Althoraya association Huda Naim , and a number of female journalists in the same association , where Naim offered a brief definition to Althoraya association , indicating that the main aim of this association is to advance the level of journalists and information in the Palestinian society .
Meanwhile , a number of deputies , legal , engineering , journalists , and students of universities attended the workshop .
MP . Huda Naim welcomed the attendance , thanking them for their present , and she showed that this workshop came in the occasion of international day for woman , which celebrated by all world in the eightth of March .
The workshop discussed several issues related to the suffering of Palestinian woman under the Israeli occupation , either she was mother , daughter , sister , or wife , and how the Israeli occupation prevented her to practice her life in peace and freedom .
On the other hand , the workshop showed that how the Palestinian woman can challenge and steadfast in front of all obstacles and problems , and during the explanation of some issues , the female journalists were browsed their studies and researches on LCD , to the American book " Army of Roses " , which is included some mistakes.
These Mistakes were in the names , dates , and personal information , for example Mohmoud Al-Zahar , had been written as Mahmoud Al-Wahar , and many other examples .
Briefly , they showed a statistics to the percentage of educated , worker , and healthy Palestinian females .
At the end , the attendance shared to discuss other issues related to the women , evaluating her role in the steadfastness and challenge .
In an interview of the information office at the Ministry of Interior , MP. Huda Naim said , that Israeli occupation harmed the Palestinian woman severely , in all fields either in her religion and faith , education , captivity , or main basic human rights .
" But despite of that , and despite of siege , war and all violations committed by Israeli occupation , the leader Palestinian woman can spread the pain of people , support and help them to reduce their suffering " , she added
In a response to her about the main obstacles , which faced it as a representative for people , she said that the occupation is the main problem , then the differentiation of priorities , which prevent us to develop our performance in a good form , secondly , the division and conspiracies from Arabic and Western World , and the political boycott from Western world .
Finally , Naim delivered a message for Arabic and western worlds , appealing them to end the suffering of Palestinian woman under the Israeli siege , indicating that there is not necessary to impose Agenda to provide support for the Palestinian people .
