Dr.. Mohamed Ascol , Minister of Education and Higher Education , has confirmed that his ministry will not allow for UNRWA to teach Holocaust within the human rights curriculum in UNRWA schools
Ascol stressed during a ceremony held at the Islamic University held by Friends of the student association on the occasion of providing hundreds of scholarships for university students in the Gaza Strip on Monday 28 , 2 ,2011 , to not tamper with in the education of children of the Gaza Strip
He added , that the attention of UNRWA by extracurricular activities , and overlooked for other curriculum reflect badly year after year to the education level of the students, and called them to re-accurate assessment of used curricula and which did not lead only to the ignorance of students
Ascol expressed that his ministry ready to serve all educational institutions in Gaza Strip in the case of necessary, calling based on the education program at the UNRWA and the supporting countries to read a message of Palestinian government well
Ascol pointed out , that students levels in Palestinian government schools , raised for 8 % , in addition to the equal level of education for students of the Gaza Strip with other students in West Bank for the first time in a unified national exam
Minister of Education , has praised the achievements of charities in the Gaza Strip to support students and enhance their steadfastness and their hard work, calling them to more supporting make students continuing their educational process despite the difficulties
