Major Sarhan: Gaza Strip free of "cocaine and heroin"

Major Amjad Sarhan, general director of Anti-Drugs Department in Palestinian police, confirmed that the Gaza Strip is free of extremely dangerous narcotic substances, such as "cocaine" and "heroin", and the department has taken control on the traders and drug dealers, and it also succeeded in reducing the spread of these substances among young people.
 
Sarhan showed that the members of Anti-Drugs Police have been pursued by the Israeli occupation forces, who shoot them to prevent their work, calling for providing large incinerators to destroy these toxic substances, expressing regret at the lack of such incinerators.
 
Major Amjad Sarhan pointed out that his administration was able to limit the entry of drugs into the Gaza Strip due to security pursuit for drug dealers and traffickers, despite the simple possibilities, blockade and the limited number of workers.
 
He added: " widespread activity now in the Gaza Strip is Tramadol pills, and we are doing our best to eliminate it, but thanks to Allah, we were able to limit the entry of toxic substances, such as banjo, hashish and cocaine, whereas, "cocaine and heroin is virtually absent in the Gaza Strip."
 
Sarhan said that campaign which called "To Protect Our Youths From Plague Of Drugs" aimed at making aware of drug addicts in prisons of the dangers of drugs, whereas, they have been given religious, psychological, therapeutic lessons. But thanks to Allah, 167 drug addict turned from their sin in the prisons.

Major Amjad Sarhan pointed out that Anti-Drugs Department took control on all ports of drug traffickers, noting that the government is dealing strictly with this file, as the previous authority was not able to take control this file; because of the presence of armed gangs that protect transactions and plains.
 
Therefore, Sarhan appreciated the control on smugglings that carried out by his department, whereas, tunnels have been monitored, and Anti-drugs policemen seized all narcotic substances specially Tramadol pills, which has spread in the society, despite the weakness of possibilities .
