Palestinian official Eng. Derar Abu Sesi, head of power station in Gaza City, has been kidnapped in Ukraine last Friday by unknown group.

Dr. Ahmed Ziad Sharaf, one of Abu Sesi's relatives, said in a press statement that "the Engineer Derar left the Gaza Strip to visit his wife's family in Ukraine on 18 January, and there he has sought to obtain permanent residence (nationality) in Ukraine."

He added, "Last Friday, Eng. Abu Sesi traveled to the capital (Kiev); to meet his brother, who came from Poland and he has not seen him for 12 years, and in the middle of the road an unidentified group kidnapped him."

Sharaf pointed out that the Ukrainian government divested the day before of his passport, and then returned to him, noting that the Ukrainian government did not authorize the detention of Abu Sesi or declare his abduction.

Sharaf revealed security leaks showed that Eng. Abu Sesi was actually kidnapped by "unknown group", appealing the Ukrainian government to immediately detect his own destiny.

Eng. Abu Sesi is a Palestinian, married to a Ukrainian woman, who live in Gaza and have six children.
